About Studio 6 id
This blog is an archive of thoughts, images and drawings for my work in Studio 6 running from academic year 2007 – 2008. The theme of the studio is ‘Interdependence’. My interest is the interdependence of food networks that operate within the city of Sheffield and the social, political and economical impact of self sustainability and urban agriculture in our current political climate. Sustainability is on the public agenda and through collaboration with projects such as Grow Sheffield and The Abundance Project, my aim is to help facilitate and develop the existing projects in a collaborative approach. By examining current trends and making the alternatives accessible to the wider public through education and creative public collaboration, my aim is to raise the public awareness of the issues of self sustainability and what small steps we can take to make a positive changes in the way we look at food on a holistic scale.
